Week Three Featuring Mrs Roberts!

Week 3 - Prizes and Monsters!

Hi Scratchers,

Sorry I can't be there today (for real this time)... But you are going to be working with wonderful Mrs Roberts!

So, last week you hopefully have created your background and got your sprites moving. This week we are building on those skills to get our board game created!

Just keep this in mind as this is what we are working towards:

WALT – Relate To Others

Success criteria
·       Share ideas/ knowledge
·       Find out the people that can help us (experts) and the people that need help

Display the 3 x KCs posters that we have been using.

WALT – continue to build our board games

Success criteria
·       set up sensors for sides and objects
·       add prizes
·    do you need to add a monster?
·    add a soundtrack (bonus for those who finish early)

Introduction -

Think about how could we improve on our goal setting and reflections. Want some inspiration? Have a look at Steven and Stephen goal and reflection from last week (100 house points each boys). This week can we include examples? Are we explaining our thinking?

Today we are going to get going asap - we don't have much time and we need to
set up some of our prizes and maybe add our first monster!

Add your goals for this week to the Week 3 Goal Setting Padlet below! Get to work and remember your goals!

Task 1 -

Finish off your sensors and backgrounds from last week.

Task 2 -

- What will we want to happen when we get the prize?
- How many prizes will we want?

After you have asked yourself these questions have a play on Scratch to create some prizes. If you are having trouble, who in the class could you ask? That is NOT the teacher!

Task 3 -

Want to add a monster think about these things:

- How will we want our monster to act?

- How many monsters will we have?

Now give it a go... Don't know how? How could you get help? You are not allowed to just ask the teacher!

Bonus Task

If you have finished the tasks above think about adding music or sounds.

Task 4 Reflection Time!
