Sorry I can't be there today... But I have left you in the very capable hands of Mr Panther!
So last week you had a little 'play' on Scratch and hopefully you have got some great ideas, about how we can use this programme to complete our Collaboration DLT and create an amazing board game. Which show the tikanga and protocols that are important when visiting a marae. Need an expert on this... Mayson, Mr Panther and some other children went yesterday, pick their brains (but not really as that could get messy)!
Right enough teacher droning lets get into it:

Right enough teacher droning lets get into it:
WALT – set backgrounds and use the sensor feature
Success criteria
- create your background
- be able to navigate sprite
- set up sensors for sides and objects
Introduction (10mins) -
Our Key competency is 'Self Manage'.
Our Scratch goal is to create our backgrounds and add sensors.
Now jump on the goal setting and reflection Padlet (below) and set your goal for
the session! Can you relate it to our success criteria or KC?
Last week Leo, Harry and Henry had top notch goals and reflections (100 house points each), have a look at theirs if you need inspiration.
Task 1 (13mins)-
Watch this Scratch tutorial.
Even if you are
a Scratch whizz have a look anyway (you never know what you might pick up), you
know where the headphones are.
Task 2 (30mins)-
Now create your background for your board game, have your sprite move around and set up your sensors.
Once you have done this you are free to continue on with your board game. Just keep this in your mind:

Task 3 (7mins)-
Reflection time.

Nice reflections everyone! You are really thinking about your goals! I can't wait to play your Scatch games.
